Attack of the Kangaroo

News

KangarooMELBOURNE, Australia (AP) -- "An ambulance official says a jogger has been taken to hospital after he was attacked by a kangaroo on the outskirts of Australia's second-largest city. A jogger who hopped between a male and female kangaroo in Melbourne suffered a head injury and scratches. Metropolitan Ambulance Service spokeswoman Christine Paterson says the man, in his 50s, was attacked Monday as he apparently ran between a male and female kangaroo near his home at an outer suburb of Melbourne. She says the victim ran to a nearby house and telephoned for help while the kangaroo  hopped away. Paterson says he was taken by ambulance to a hospital in a stable condition with a gash on his head and minor claw scratches to his chest, arms and hands. A Royal Melbourne Hospital spokeswoman was not immediately available for comment on the man's condition."

News : Zimbabwe Preparing To Release $500 Billion Note

News The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe are preparing to issue a $500 billion note which is equal to less than 4 U.S. dollars.

But due to cash shortages, Zimbabweans are finding it difficult to get hold of currency to purchase essential goods. At present people are limited to withdrawing $100 billion a day which isn't enough to buy a loaf of bread.

With inflation spiralling out of control, Zimbabwe has introduced a $100 billion note (CNN has a photo of a $500 million note). $100 billion is the equivalent to one U.S. dollar and is enough to buy four oranges.

Two-Faced Calf

News One of the newest arrivals at Kirk Heldreth's dairy farm is drawing crowds. A calf with two faces was born Dec. 27 at Heldreth Dairy Farm, and word has spread in southwest Virginia as residents flock to his farm. The animal is normal from its tail until its unusually large head. The calf breathes out of two noses and has two tongues, which move independently, according to Heldreth. There appears to be a single socket containing two eyes where the heads split.

Fake Tube safety e-mail spreads

News London Transport and mobile firms are warning people about an e-mail spreading rapidly containing inaccurate safety information.
