Mannequins' breasts are growing to cater for the number of women who now have plastic surgery (or men's increased fondness for gigantic boobs).
Shop mannequins with 40" DD breasts have been selling thick and fast across America in the last year and are could soon be protruding onto on the British High Street.
Mike Wang, partner of wholesalers Rox Studio, in New York, told Metro Online: 'We started selling three different kinds of large breasted mannequins last year, Jessica, Mary and Anita and we've sold around 300 already. 'There's no doubt that they grab people's attention in shop windows.'
The realistic-looking mannequins with unrealistic-looking breasts sell for between £66 for the cheapest models to around £150, and can have realistic silicone nipples added.
Instead of being designed for naturally big breasted women the mannequins' breasts are abnormally high up for their size suggesting they are modelled on women with implants.
Hip stores in America that use the models include Mystique Boutique, in SoHo, New York and Deco Denim, in Miami's South Beach.
'Our main customers are high fashion boutiques,' Mr Wang added.
Other wholesalers selling the extra large breasted models include Washington state's Mannequinstore.com and Displayimporter.com in Los Angeles.
Breast augmentation surgery has increased by 700 per cent in America in the past 10 years.
According to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons the number of women having boob jobs over here increased by 51 per cent in 2005.
Rox Studio have had so much interest from this side of the Atlantic they are opening a store in Paris this spring to cater for the European market.
Mr Wang added: 'We've had a lot of demand from Europe but shipping is just too expensive from the US.'
