Right, now i have your attention, lets all have a little chat!

Firstly, i would like to make you all aware that the following lines contain a list of reasons for why imeshchat (the chat channel) has gone to shit, and then, a list of ideas of how we could get this place back on its feet.

Secondly i would like to say that this post, ISN'T a post for everyone to argue and whinge with, only to create even more confusion and upset, and Daimos.. i ask if anyone replys to this post in such a way, could u please delete there entry, and replace it with a jpg file of babboons butt during colon movement.. thank you..

Ok, so i think we are all blissfully aware that the chat room probably sees less lines of txt during an average day than a toddlers fairy tale book. There is a thousand reasons why this has happened, and i shall now state a few..

1. The iMesh program no longer has the chat function implemented into it, this means less people are aware of it, so less new people join.

2. Aggressive Atmosphere.. which is now a thing of the past, thanks to Daimos giving us all a slap on the arse... mmmmmm

3. People running more than one chat room.. although this isn't a large problem when the chat room is "healthy". It can however create huge problems when the chat room dies.. people tend to rather chat in the room that is busy, rather than the one which is dead.. nothing wrong with that, do what you want, but, that IS one of the reasons wether u like it or not. Problem is, once the imesh gets busy again, people dont notice it, becuase they're chatting in there other rooms.

4. People having Grudges against others... 2 words.... grow up

5. Some Regulars are having problems connecting, becuase of life.. or klines etc.

All of these reasons are the reasons why any chat room fails, its no-bodys fault, im not trying to shift blame, or make out some of us try harder than others, but i personally think that all of us should talk about this without pointing the finger at certain people..

Lets face it people.. imesh chat is dead.. its completley dead, if this continues for longer, more regs will leave, and eventually the ops will follow, and the whole of imesh will resemble the activity of your "status" screen. So we all need to pack together, and try and decide on an idea that is going to suit the majority of us.

Here is a list of my ideas that *I* think will help get this place moving again.

1. Nag and Nag, and Nag, and Nag.. the imesh programmers to implement the chat back into the program... but this option will probably never happen..

2. We rename the chat rooms.. all decide on a name for them all, and go "freelance" start advertising on websites, other chat rooms etc.. the majoirty of internet users, that are aware of the imesh program, agree that it is a pile of worm ridden shite (myself included) and they sure as hell wouldn't want to join a chat room with its name.. except for people who feel the need to run in and say "imesh sucks!" occasionally.. which does happen...

3. We invent.. a time machine...

4. Create more/better activitys.. perhaps have a schedule "Thursday nights is quiz night!" for example, which can also be incorporated into this website.. for example.. the winner gets a "front page" on the website, to talk about what his/her concerns are.. or just basically draw mad pictures and make a **** outta themselves.. or perhaps.. the winner gets an extra 2mb of upload space or something.. or.. they get a new name under there avatars.. or a ranking system.. ANYTHING that gives people a reason to play.

6. We move to IRCnet.. IRCnet is just basically another server like DALnet, DALnet is more popular these days, becuase of the nickname secuirty etc.. however IRCnet is a much nicer place, i used to use it, and the majority of users arn't connecting with chat applets.. DALnet is very popular for that, becuase a lot of websites have chat applets like here, that connect to dalnet.. which basically means ANY dumb shit can join, hence the reason DALnet is mostly filled with cybersex freaks, and american teenagers (no offence.. ha!)

My fingers ache now, so i'll leave it there.. just list some ideas that u think will make this place better.. if those ideas concern pointing your finger at certain people or partys.. then piss off and make your own post

And btw, just curious... is this site any way connected /suported by the Imesh Company in any way?? Cus if we r not, then i would sugest us to create a new name for this community / chatrooms / this site main name/ etc. A bit drastic maybe thou.

Hmm! Trace tried to encourage everyone to email the imesh programers regarding the problem with having no link to imesh chat. I know I did and I'm sure quite a few did as well but nothing has come of it. I guess we will have to try again..hence NAG NAG NAG.

One u did leave out was that some are busy as is the case with me but the times I have gone into imeshchat, it has been dead.
I have no suggestions at this time but I'm happy to go along with anythin that will get imesh chat back to the way it was. Remember though.... we do have droughts like this through the year and with only 3 weeks until xmas, I have no doubt people are busy shopping and organising.
I'm sure it will pick up in time but it's nice that u took the time to post ur concerns Falcore. I do miss ppl in imesh chat.
