So, last night I decided to do some off roading down in Tucson. I was driving when I saw a sign that said Scroll cave. I kept following the signs until I got there. I had my hiking gear, and head light so I figured, why not go take a look and get some cool pictures. Well I went in, it had a HUGE open space when I got in, so I thought I was in for an easy hike. I heard some water, and thought that I might find a small lake in the cave. Well, I saw a crevice that I could climb down, I started down. Then, SUDDENLY I started sliding, and kept going down! I finally got a hold of a rock sticking out and stopped myself from sliding all the way down. In the process of my rapidly sliding down, my head light came almost all the way off. I then slowly looked behind me and saw a drop. As I went to turn my head back around my head light came off. I heard it bounce off the wall then it dropped. It took FOREVER until I heard it hit the ground below. I knew for sure that if I let go of the rock, I was going to die. The more I tried to pull myself up the more my body wanted to slide down. I paniced and called for help. Sadly though not only did I go to this cave alone, it was way off the beaten path, so nobody else was around for miles and miles. I don't know what happened but suddenly I got angry and started furiously pulling myself up. It was so hard, because I was also sliding, but I kept pulling and pulling, and I would say about an hour went by, but I made it back up. I then had to try to find my way out of the cave in total darkness. Another 2 hours went by when I finally heard outside noises and made it out. I am here alive, but I have a HUGE bruise on my back, so bad the doctor gave me 3 different pills that I have to take 3 times a day just for swelling and pain.

ouchy!! now thats one bad story doob!!

perosnaly id go back to that hell hole FULLY LOADED with ropes gear lights the WORKS and go for it again this time with a crew so that lurking fear would never haunt me (by takeing a dump on the cave floor)

I most likely will never go in a cave AGAIN. I mean reading the text just does not describe how scary it was. Not to mention in the summer here we have bears and Rattlesnakes that love to hide in caves, so not only the part where I almost died scared the @!@# out of me, but trying to find my way out in the dark was also terrible.
