just to prove I don't just make insane/inane topics, here is my take on the ground zero mosque. I think the mosque at ground zero SHOULD be allowed and here is why.

1.) America is capitalistic democracy. A mosque which is being payed for, will bring more money to that area then the empty building which now occupies that space. If you block a structure just because it belongs to a specific religion then, in order to be fair, you must block ALL religious structures from being built. Which brings me to point 2

2.) The largest homegrown terrorist act in America was the Oklahoma City bombing. Timothy Mcveigh was not only a Roman Catholic, he was protesting the attack of the United States on a religious compound at Waco. He wrote a letter to one of his good friends stating "know in my heart that I am right in my struggle, Steve. I have come to peace with myself, my God and my cause. Blood will flow in the streets, Steve. Good vs. Evil. Free Men vs. Socialist Wannabe Slaves. Pray it is not your blood, my friend". Yet, you have not heard one single protest against any Christian building being built in Oklahoma City

in short, in order to have the secular democracy the United States founders framed, religion must stay out of the government, and vice versa.

3:it wont matter who gives support who say's its ok they will entrench the idea that it was a conspiricy against the usa by effectively urinating in the face day by day when they do the call to prayer from the roof tops... if it goes that far

i have many muslim freinds doob but even in the uk they can see what will happen the fear is it will make them take up arms in the usa home land in an ''ethnic clensing swoop''

well it is true that America is digging its own grave by meddling into Muslim affairs overseas. It all started when we put the shah into power in Iran, and we've been stirring up the Islamic world ever since. The sad thing is the people who founded the country, made sure to stress to the Islamic world that we are NOT a Christian nation and that we have no hostile intents with Muslims when they framed the treaty of Tripoli. Sadly though the Christian leadership here eager to have the book of Revelations come true have distorted what our founding fathers intended, and are trying hard to provoke an end of the world so that this god they pray to will come back and take them from the rest of us heathens. I hate to debate this Neo, because that means I have to defend religion, and even though I don't despise the Muslims, I do think they are bat s**t crazy, like the rest of the world that spoon feeds itself on superstition. Will a Mosque stir stuff up sure, but it's already been stirred, will be stirred and it wont stop until both sides can have their holy books tale of an Apocalyptic end come to pass.

agree'd doob the usa AND the uk seem to want the horror's foretold in the bible and the koran to come to pass but they should have read the text first

i dont claim to follow any religion however i do beileve in something i follow the ten commandments as they make sence and feature in nearly all holy texts it both odd and funny as hell when you say this to a preist/whatever the muslims have as a holy leader/any other faith, as they just cant fault you save 1 thing. you dont call what they see as god ''god''

I was wrong in this article, its not a mosque. It's actually a muslim cultural center, and it's around 3 blocks away from ground zero. Amazing what you find out when you watch news that isn't from the American Media companies.

Don't I know it. I actually live in a state to not only can the hicks tote guns, they can conceal them.
