Some of you guys are spreading a script which copies itself via private messages. If you receive a private message like this:

DO NOT copy/ paste this code. This script writes a little snippet to your mIRC remote section which makes you send the above message to any user who types something in the chat. Furthermore it makes you join the channel #manila.

If you received this message and copied/ pasted this message, go to your mIRC remote section, click on VIEW, go to that remote script which appears to be nameless, click on FILE >> UNLOAD, finally, restart your mIRC.

When I tried to join #manila to ask them about this script, I was kicked immediately, so I assumed, some morons were joining that channel using their iMesh ident and causing trouble. I'd suggest you guys DON'T use the iMesh chat applet or an mIRC with the iMesh ident to cause trouble in other rooms :!:

what if we are already banned from the other rooms? last i knew i was banned from christiandebate (IP 'cos i was using a different mirc session), but cybersex has the whole of btinternet.com banned (or it was last time).

well, there are some rooms who have the user id iMesh banned due to certain people joining there to cause trouble

We have noticed that there is a variety of mIRC scripts in use, while Looksharp seems to be especially popular. I suggest you to use only scripts which support the latest version of mIRC because those versions prior to mIRC 6.13 have some serious security problems. The current version is mIRC 6.16.
Looksharp uses mIRC 6.03 or even older and I know it doesnt support the higher mIRC versions without problems. Nonetheless, you should upgrade to the latest mIRC version, even if that means you have to stop using Looksharp and try something else.

Mullin you got banned from #cybersex cause you had the 16 in your nick. Best rule to live by is do not copy and paste anything any one tells you to in pm. I dont copy and paste even from ppl i maybe occasinally talk to. Just say NO.
