I'm walking in this shadow of darkness
With thoughts of you on my mind
I wonder what your thinking and will things be ok again
Oh how I hate walking in this darkness
Feeling alone and afraid
If only you would come to your thoughts again
And break me from this gloom
I come to a bench and sit down
Only to sit on more lonliness
I cry out your name in sorrow
I miss you so much I can't bear it
Just when I think it's over
You come walking over to me
And lay your hand on my cheek
As you bring my face to see yours
You brush the tears away from my eyes and take me by my hand
You help me off this lonely bench and pull me in your arms
I just cry and cling to you knowing I could have lost you
You whisper in my ear, "it'll be ok I'm not going anywhere."
You put your fingers under my chin and draw my face to yours
Our lips brush softly and tenderly and now I know this darkness is gone
You saved me from this lonely shadow and brought me back to the light.
