Its not suppose to be the funniest joke u've heard, but its suppose to be funniest based on the votes.. its even in the guiness book of records. (:

The person on the phone said "Let's make sure he's dead".... meaning to maybe.. check his pulse... But the hunter made sure he was dead the only way a hunter knows how. This was the point of the joke, taking the piss out of people who look at things a different way than we do, like he is stupider than we are. The joke has many levels, prejudice, misunderstanding, play on words, it's like a whole Shakespeare play in one paragraph. Only Spike could do that.. or maybe Jerry Springer.
